Review content:
Maggie Mae's was the first bar my sisters wanted to visit when they came for SXSW. Came to Maggie Mae's at around 11 or 12 and we were feeling it.
The rooftop was definitely cool, and we were yelling at people in the street below and got asked to be quiet. Please it's sixth street. Anyway it is a nice to get some fresh air while drinking! There were 2 bars upstairs and neither were crowded, so that was awesome.
The band we saw was really good, but the stage is higher than back part of the room, so the crowd was blocking my view :(.
I enjoyed it for sure, but it wasn't the best bar or venue in Austin by a longshot. Nothing too too special, but nice to get away during SXSW!
Pros: The roof.
Cons: The bouncers are creepy.
