When my son was getting married I had no idea what would look best on me and wished for a place where the staff would be honest and helpful. Boy, did I find the place. T. Carolyn is a jewel in a wasteland of formal wear shopping. ( That is probably why the store was full of customers who had come from all over Texas and even a foreign country the day I went there!) Margaret was the lady who assisted me and she sure knew the merchandise and colors. She actually picked a color I would never have chosen and a dress I wouldn"t have looked twice at. Yet, when I put it on I was literally transformed. She was respectful of my budget and showed me things in my price range. I ended up choosing the very first one I tried on. The. Tuesday after the wedding, when they re-opened, (they are closed on Sundays and Mondays) I just had to call Margaret to thank her. I explained to her that in my entire life no one had ever told me I looked pretty. Would you believe FIVE people told me I looked pretty. I will always be grateful to Margaret and to the owners who obviously go to such lengths to have beautiful dresses and gowns in all price ranges. Dresses that can transform an "ordinary" looking person to an "extraordinary" looking person. I would certainly encourage everyone to experience T. Carolyn. I know for sure I will be back when my daugher gets married.
Pros: Incredible selection with professional sales staff
Cons: Closed on Sundays and Mondays--(to recoup from Sat?)
