Businiess name:  Tempe Yarn & Fiber
Review by:  Veronica P.
Review content:
I heard about Tempe Yarn and Fiber through a yahoo list for a local crochet group. Since I couldn't make the meetings for the group, I had to venture to see this shop by myself a couple month later. When you first walk in it looks just like any other shop. Lots of yarn in their bins, books, notions.... but what makes this place stand out is the service! I found out that they have contests with some of the yarns they feature - what fun is that! :-) They also have a lending library - which is the first I've ever heard of that. They carry a really nice amount of yarn and raw fiber for spinners. They have three tables set up for just sitting and visiting or browsing the library. What I really liked was their newsletter. I haven't seen very many newsletters from shops unless they were exclusive on line shops. It looks like they have a lot of different groups have their meetings there - so lots of opportunities to check out what everyone is working on. :-) On the calendar, they have an ER night - for those knitting/crochet/spinning or other fiber emergencies that you many need help with. How cool is that! I've never seen a shop so involved with the different groups and community like this one. Even if you just visit their website, check them out!
