Mood Swings is an arty salon located in an old repurposed bank building on Mill avenue. It looks nice, and at first blush, seems to be a nice place. I believe the way a business treats its employees says a lot about the type of establishment it is, and there are a few things I can say about the way Mood Swings' employees are treated. Is it good business to bully your employees, reprimanding them in front of clients? Is it unusual for a business to threaten so many of its former employees with legal action?
Stylists are expected to work maximum hours -- making up every hour taken off regardless of reason (vacation? graduation? family function? funeral? same diff!) and treated as expendable. Which isn't to say that every pretense has not been explored to file suits and threats against (numerous of) those stylists who leave the salon. Few people could be long-suffering enough to last very long under these conditions, and who could blame them? Any number of reasons can be given as to why a stylist did not earn their full commissions for the week. You'd think the place was being owned and run by an accountant or something. And you might be right.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend a place that seems to put more emphasis on maximizing profits by exploiting its employees rather than treating them fairly, and employees that are treated poorly cannot be expected to defend or sustain the establishment that employs them -- nor, indeed, to tolerate it for very long. "Who cares?, we'll just sue them and hire more!" This is the very definition of bad business.

Changing Hands was always my favorite place in college. Right down the street from ASU it is conveniently located and easy to get to. It is easy to get lost in the gret selection of books and spend hours browsing and reading. The great thing is they will let you do it! They don't hustle you in and out and the staff there are amazing. It's definately a great value!

The staff made me feel terrific, good service seems harder to come buy these days, and were consistent as well as helpful and polite. Not to mention their excellent food! My two favorites were the New York Strip and the juicy baby back ribs. I recomended Monti's to all my family, and so far everyone loves it!
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Not open 24/7

This used to be my favorite place to eat. We went to Monti's frequently, especially before SunDevil games. We no longer patronize Monti's because the quality of the food went downhill and they raised the prices substantially. While I can understand increases from time to time, this was unreal. Also, they started changing the menu and trying to be "fancy." Well, Monti's was great because it is so unique and homey at the same time. Aside from the historical building, it is now nothing special.
I really wish they would change things back.

I reemmber when the Chuck Box was owned and operated by Ponch and his
son w/ the rest of the family. It never needed advertising, because the food was
so good. Now it appears to be a little more commericalized and gimmicked.
I think I'd be very disappointed. I hope Ponch and his son Ponch Jr are still
doing well...it's been many years since I thought of the Chuck Box, but I'm
sure he'd still remember Carl L, Nino, and the bunch that used to leave work
and run to the Warehouse across teh street..where Ponch would not hire
anyone who was a past present or future employee of...it was alot of fun back then.
The restaurant was clean..and the food was awesome..pitchers of beer were
ice cold...

After having lived in Europe for most of the 90's I have missed the atmosphere and food the most. Classic Italian Pizza is a true European Restaurant.
The pizza reminds me of the kind I used to get when I was in Brindisi. Thin crust, just enough sauce and cheese to compliment each other, and a wide variety of toppings not normally found here in the states.
If you prefer thick crust and lots of sauce and cheese, aka Americanized pizza, Classic Italian Pizza is not the place for you. If you want to try something different and tasty then you'll love the place.
The service is also very European. You won't have staff waiting at your elbow or trying to push you out the door as soon as you finish. They expect you to sit back, relax, enjoy your meal and the company you are with.
I highly recommend finishing the meal with the Tiramisu,,, It is the best you will ever have.
Pros: True European, and Romantic Dinning
Cons: If you want American Pizza not the place for you
