Businiess name:  Regis Salon

Review content:
I was looking forward to peacefully getting my hair done and having some relaxation time to myself but that is definitely not what happened. For starters, the MANAGER & mother of two (I came to find out later), - of Regis Salons at the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover, Alabama wreaked of marijuana smoke as well as cigarette smoke, as do most of the employees. Are the employees not drug tested? Everything was visibly dusty and i coughed and sneezed the entire time I was there. The other hairdressers/stylists/students/secretary/whoever they are were openly discussing their use of illicit drugs such as, but not limited to, marijuana and even ecstasy. It is still illegal in the state of Alabama for anyone to purchase or use marijuana and I'm sure they aren't supposed to be using ecstasy at work of all places. There was a younger blonde stylist with long eyelashes that was very knowledgable and was quite helpful, as was my stylist Marissa. Marissa has been cutting my hair for the last few months and I have never had a probem with her OR Regis in general until that day. I waited a few days and called their Human Resources department today and told them about my experience, but I'm not sure if anything will be done about it. The lady on the phone wasn't very reassuring. There were also women who looked like they had rolled out of bed and were in loose black pants as if they were at home lounging around in front of the television. I hope someone reads this and heeds my advice. REGIS EMPLOYEES NEED TO STOP SMOKING PERIOD - CIGARETTES TOO! NO ONE WANTS TO BE "PAMPERED" BY HANDS THAT SMELL OF CIGARETTES OR EVEN WORSE - MARIJUANA! I'm appalled that this happened during my visit and I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THAT SALON EVER AGAIN. Sorry, Marissa, it's not you, it's your ill-fit "mananger" that should be fired on the spot and your co-workers that you have to thank.
