My last visit to my local Pep Boys.\r
Here?s why.\r
Arrived 9:30 a.m.\r
Made to wait for over 20 minutes.\r
I finally had to ask for service.\r
Requested an oil change.\r
$47.00!! Outrageous and the most I?ve ever paid for a standard oil change.\r
They said I needed a new air filter. \r
An additional $20.00, but with ?no charge? for installation.\r
I found the same filter on-line for $7.85.\r
I kept the old filter and a second repair shop said the old filter did not need to be replaced.\r
Waited longer and finally checked on the continued delay.\r
They had mis-communicated and no one was installing the filter. The car was just sitting.\r
Had I not checked, I might have waited another 30 minutes.\r
Total damage ? $67.00 and 3 hours of waiting for an oil change and air filter for a Honda Civic.\r
I complained and was given a ?discount? of $20.00.\r
If I had not complained?\r
What?s wrong with this picture?\r
Perhaps that thieves are running Pep Boys?\r
