I have used this Tuffy for service through two different managers now for tire replacement, tire rotation, brake pad replacement, and regular oil changes. The service is consistently friendly, honest and I do not feel taken advantage of as a woman who knows little about auto repair. I have even double-checked their analyses with a relative who does know auto repair and he has agreed with their recommendations.
Example-I had a tire I thought was out of balance. It was a tire that was only about six months old and I took the car to them for re-balancing. They discovered the tires were in balance, but that one had a defective "hop". They were very clear that they did not want to try and sell me a new tire becuase the one with the "hop" was still good, it just made the annoying vibration. They rebalanced all of my tires, moved the defective one to a position where the vibration would be least noticable and didn't charge me anything. That kind of service is rare these days!!
I wanted to post a review because I only just recently moved to the Tampa Bay area and have relied heavily on these reviews to make good decisions as a consumer. Hope mine helps someone else out there!
Pros: Honest, moderately priced, courteous
Cons: Managers change frequently but all managers have been great so far!

The service advisors are very courteous and helpful, as well as the mechanics. It's evident everyone is skilled and competent from the moment you walk in. Their pricing is fair and competitive (I had my car's oil changed, fluids checked, and tires rotated for $20.32).
It's common for many mechanics and service reps to try to take advantage of women whom they believe know less about cars and are thus more willing to buy unnecessary services, but they never once tried to sell me anything. I went in, plainly stated the services I wanted, paid, and had my car back and running smoothly in less than 30 minutes; I was amazed.
I highly recommend this shop.

I have been a auto technican since 1974 and I had the pleasure of working for the Lavo's for just a short time 3 months a couple of years ago. The problem I ran into was that I lived in Bradenton and drove to Tampa M-F the ride there in the morning was not bad but after about 6 times of falling asleep on the way home I had to let this job go. I enjoyed working with Danny & his brothers. Danny was over the automotive repair,John was over the towing service and Mark was in charge of the Body Shop. All three were very good at what they did working with Honesty & Pride. I enjoyed working there more than any other place and still miss the Lavo's

I went to get my wind shield pump repaired at the Autoway Nissan of Brandon on Saturday, Sept. 5th. I'm pleased to say that HAMZAH MUBARAK provided me with excellent customer service. He was very accommodating and very knowledgeable with the vehicle and what needed to be done. In the end, he also clearly explained what went wrong and gave me honest results and opinion. I'm not a mechanically inclined person but the way Hamzah explained everything to me, even my 12 year old daughter will fully understand. Thank you Hamzah for your help, you are terrific. We need more people like you in this industry! I also want to congratulate him and his wife with the birth of their very first child. Best of luck with everything!

My husband takes his car to this shop whenever there is a problem. They have always been very friendly, honest and flexible. The last time my husband was convinced he needed a new starter, but it ended up being a small switch which cost about $300 less than a repair for a starter would have. Tito's was very honest and up front. When I needed new brakes, there turned out to be another part that also needed replacing. When I picked up my car, they showed me the part that came from my car and a properly functioning part to show me how bad the problem had been and why it needed replacement. Very recommended!
