Review content:
I came here for an emergency room visit back in May 2007. The staff was very kind and professional and my treatment was great. Everyone I dealt with related to my ailment was very kind and ready to provide explanations for any questions I had. At one point a woman came to take my insurance information, etc. Apparently, they bill as 2 separate entities, 1 as the Evergreen Hospital and 1 as the Evergreen Emergency Services. This was NOT told to me at the time and caused a lot of confusion later on. Somehow the emergency services ended up with my correct insurance address, but none of my contact information except my name and phone number. They IMMEDIATELY sent my balance to collections. I was very upset with this. Why didn't they call me if they didn't have my address for billing??? The Evergreen Hospital entity somehow had the wrong insurance address (but did have my contact information). I am still trying to resolve the issue with their billing - they claim insurance has rejected the claim, but in fact I have verified with my insurance twice that the claim was never received. :( I'm stumped as to how both the hospital and emergency services ended up with only small portions of the correct information. Either their intake process if severely broken or someone was asleep at the wheel on both ends.
