My roommate has been going to Letha and has been friends with Letha for 6 years. In the past, she has gotten her hair cut and highlighted every 6 weeks. This costs her $150 and she leaves a $40 tip each time. In addition, her mom drives all the way from Lubbock to get the same service from Letha. I don't know anything about Letha's skills, but I do know that she is untrustworthy.
She took my $100 in cash in advance (I know, that was stupid on my part) for a combination hair dryer and straightener. Then, the shipping was convenienty messed up and the products never came. She then refused to refund my money, wouldn't talk to me, and refused to return any of my roommate's phone calls but did send her some very rude text messages. She also told the front desk clerk that she had no idea what I was talking about. The clerk got my information, but of couse Letha never called. If I wanted to donate $100, I would definately do it to a much more worthy cause like cancer research or helping starving kids. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way - never pay in cash and never assume that someone is trustworthy and honest. If you go to Soho salan, I would recommend that you ask for a different sylist to minimize your risk of getting ripped off.
