Review content:
We rec'd quotes from three companies on plantation shutters and blinds and ended up using Merv Epstein's company, Budget Blinds. What a mistake. Not only did they install the shutters incorrectly, but owner did not respond to my phone calls to correct the problem. He mounted the shutters incorrectly after we had a lengthy discussion of how we wanted them and then used the cheapest installation hardware that ruined my windowsills permanently. They splintered the wood when they did our internal mounts but luckily, i did not pay for this job in full. When i finally spoke to the owner, he told me to keep the small balance and i never heard from him again. I've since spoken to other budget blind customers and they had similar issues. Whatever you do, it's better to go with a company like Lowe's or Home Depot who stand behind their work and use responsible installers who are answereable to them. Do not make the same mistake we did. It's worth the extra 200 dollars to have it done right. Pros: Showed up when scheduled Cons: Poor installation, poor customer service, non-responsive
