Review content:
Found a nice coupon on the front page of the News and Observer. 50% off one item up to $50.00. Went to purchase a $90.00 sprayer and was told the coupon was only good for an item up to $50.00. I told the clerk I realized that and wouldn't he just apply the $25.00 coupon value to the more expensive item which would have been the customer driven, sensible thing to do. Nope! Now what possible reason could there be for not doing that other than to deny the customer the value that brought me there in the first place. I absolutely, positively, will not do business with company's that employ these deceptive practices. I did not purchase any of the items I had in hand and threw away the coupon. I will no longer be a customer of Ace Hardware. Instead I went to my local big box store who has never treated me this way. No coupon, no scam, no problem! They easily matched the offer. Now how did that work out for ya Ace? So long old friend.
