Review content:
We called 18 different transmission shops to find one who knew how to work on our car, a semi-exotic. We settled on All Pro transmission on Charlotte Ave. Brian(store mngr.) assured his shop could handle the work. The job was done quickly but not correctly. The underside of the car was all screwed up where they had had trouble getting the trans. back in, so they forced it and cut where they felt metal was in the way. The 1st problem that we noticed was that the overdrive did not work correctly. After finally getting All Pro to recheck it (under warranty) they managed to get it fixed (they thought). We made the two hour trip to pick it up after them having it three times as long as it had taken the 1st time. Five minutes away the cell-phone rang and the mngr., Brian, told us that it was not ready yet. (This after calling us 5 hours before and telling us it was done. So we turned around and went the 2 hours back. A week later they tell us again that it is ok to pick up. I said are you sure (not wanting to miss another day of work for both of us, not to mention the two hour trip both ways.) and was told it is completely finished. Again we make the trip only to be told by the mechanic when we arrived that "it is not right". After spending a couple of hours waiting, Brian told us that they had no idea what the problem was and that they could not fix it.We are almost out of the warranty period and the transmission has never been correct. All-Pro then asked us to take it to our regular mechanic and see if he could diagnose the problem. We did. Our mechanic was treated shabbily when he called All-Pro to see what they had done. No cooperation at all by All-Pro. It was discovered by our mechanic that it was indeed a transmission problem and fixed it at a cost of $1680. At this point I asked for a refund of the $2300 (estimate was ~$1750 but All-Pro did not stick with their word on estimate either) paid to All-Pro. I was refused. BAD DEAL ALL AROUND!! Pros: They talk a good line of BS Cons: Will not stand behid warranty
