Review content:
We went to Shang's on 2/7/09, a Saturday evening (first reservation). I had no idea what to expect but we were both impressed from the minute we walked through the door. Everyone was great from the host to the woman that checked our coats. We had the best seat in the house and one of the best servers, Christine. She was AMAZING and extremely informed!!! For drinks we had the Yen Yen and Shang Caipirina both were unusual but delicious. The food was impeccable! The chef really knows how to mix his flavors. Every single bite was enjoyable and worth savoring. Must try: lobster bisque, oxtail soup, beef cheek, lamb chops and the singapore salad, AWESOME!!! Truly Shang is a restaurant that must be experienced...words really do it no justice. As for price, I felt it was reasonable for what you are getting: creative, delicious, quality food with great service and superb ambiance! BTW, The chef did come out and speak to us which was the icing on the cake. GO TO SHANG!
Pros: Great food and service
