I love eating at J. Alexander's. As for as romantic ambiance... this place is tip top. They always keep the lights down low, but you can still see your food (and your guest). :) The wait staff is always friendly, but the don't hang around as if they've got nothing else to do. The menu is simply delightful. Italian inspired dishes. But, you won't see spaghetti on the list. I think their pasta of choice is ozo? (Forgive me if I spelled that wrong.) Not as loud as Carrabas or Macaroni's.
