This is the first restaurant I've ever been moved to write about because it was SO TERRIBLE!!!! My boyfriend and I, who are frequent restaurant goers, were in the mood for good sushi, and decided to go to this establishment as we had been there one time previously for an appetizer and a drink. We ordered two rolls, eel and cucumber and the ""typhoon"" roll (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and sweet egg), and the sashimi deluxe dinner. The service was very good, but when the meal arrived, we were surprised by the arrangement, the color of the fish, and the preparation of all items. First off, all of the sashimi had a grayish hue, typically indicative of old or frozen fish. Then, the taste and texture were disgusting...chewy, bland, and all of the pieces looked like they had been cut by a dull butter knife, with outer layers of skin left on. To make the experience even more appetizing, was the martini glass full of seaweed salad stuck to the sashimi plate by an enormous glob of wasabi. The ""typhoon roll"" was missing the yellowtail, the rice was hard, and the eel roll looked like it had been created by a first grader. But our favorite point of the service, was the apparently drunk sushi chef intermittently smoking cigarettes in front of the restaurant, in full view of all paying customers. Expensive, gross, and visually unappealing. We will never return. Pros: Nice wait staff Cons: oh so many
