Review content:
I would highly recommend Running Pond Acres to anyone looking for a lovely, well-maintained, fun and caring place out of the city to board your dog. When I moved to Portland five years ago, I needed a place to board my four year old 75lb. husky/lab ""Peri"" when I traveled. And since I travel a lot for my work, sometimes for months at a time, I had pretty high standards as huskies are prone to escape, need a lot of outdoor exercise, and are both people and dog lovers. Cement runs, daily walks, and limited supervison at night were NOT acceptable criteria for me. When a friend with two huskies suggested Running Pond Acres, I tried it out. It met all of my criteria and more. After 5 years, I still am a very loyal customer. Peri loves ""dog camp"" as I refer to and he continues to serve as my best indicator of how well he is or is not cared for. Each time we enter through the front gates, he is excited. He jumps out of the car, runs to the back door, tail wagging, and is ready to play with the staff. And each time I pick him up, he is healthy and happy, and I think sad to leave ""dog camp"" country. Even though I live in Portland, it is well worth taking Peri to Running Pond Acres! For those who know me, Peri is a huge part of my world and I can't think of a better group of people to care for him
