We've been enjoying this restaurant for many years. After it was sold a couple of years ago things got quite rough for a while. The view and aura of the place is so special, however, that my wife and I decided to give it another try for our anniversary last week. What a happy surprise! The food was terrific! We started out with the ""Fanny Bay"" Oysters with Jalapeno Mignonette, they were so delicious we ordered a second round! I had the Porcini Crusted Halibut with truffle emulsion & smoked eggplant ""caviar""...perfectly cooked and a great marriage of flavors! My wife had the duck breast...again delicious and perfectly cooked. We mentioned to the waiter how much we enjoyed everything and he told the chef, who then came out to say hello. Turns out Jeffery Slade has cooked in France and for the likes of Jean George and Daniel, it shows in what he sends out of the kitchen!! Everyone was very nice, the service was great, the food was great, nice selection of wines by the glass, and the view was, as it always was, spectacular! Hey this place ain't cheap, but it's special, and you leave with a glow! Pros: Unparalleled NYC & Water Vista, Fab Food!
