Review content:
We always give a restaurant 2 chances and Dexter's blew it both times even though we've heard some favorable comments. Perhaps they've fallen to the classic trap of believing their own press is forever... instead of being sure to maintain quality of food and service. The chicken Napoleon was so boring, I lost interest after 3 bites yet the very harried and uninterested waitress could not have cared less. My husband liked the Eggplant dish for lunch ok, but my salad w chicken again was boring. We had a waiter in training for lunch and he was excellent. However, our evening waitress on a Sat nite was too harried and seriously lacked professional attention to many details. We love live music but to blast the first song promptly at 9 pm is rude. That level of sound belongs 10pm and later. Although we were as far away from band as possible, we could not continue our conversation. Normally, I'd say we'd maybe go back just for drinks and music another nite, however the vodka was definitely watered down!
