Having been to a couple of the Warren Theater locations now, typically when visiting my family in Wichita, I've become a fan of ordering gift certificates from them for family holidays and birthdays. This year I've got 2 family members that will enjoy gift certificates from Warren Theater, my mom (dad will also get to enjoy them) and my sister-in-law.
Considering my sister-in-law is difficult to buy for (at least in my opinion) I figure this will give her a way to either get out with my brother (her hubby) for a night out alone, or to take the family. Her choice. Buying clothes for her doesn't work, and I don't know the stores she normally shops in. According to my brother each year there are new things she's "collecting" and I also know she's doing a lot of selling on Ebay so I'd rather whatever I get her not show up for sale online. This kind of gift gives her an experience instead of more "stuff" too and it's highly renewable. I could get it year after year and the offerings would always be different. My kind of awesome gift to give and to get!!!!!
I'm hoping someone will take the concept of the Warren Theater and bring it to Seattle. Being able to order dinner, drinks, and watch a movie out at a big screen theater is wonderful. There is one small theater like this in Seattle now but it's an expensive place for food. I'd go more often if we had a choice more like Warren Theater.

We have a membership to the zoo and try to go at least once a week. There are so many things to see and do. The newest exhibit is the The Gorilla Forrest, which is alot of fun to see when they are active. They are adding a penguin exhibit that will open Spring 2007. They also have classes for the kids to take that are very affordable and the kids learn alot from them.
We are always amazed when we go out of town and go to the other zoo's and we realize what a wonderful zoo we have.

I have visited the Wichita Art Museum a few times over the past year and am amazed at how much more I discover each time. While traveling exhibits are housed in the museum, there is also a lot of stationary pieces that stay. I highly recommend taking advantage of the children’s play area no matter what age you are.

I think that Allstar Sports is a great place to go on a date. They have an huge arcade, go-carts, batting cages and mini golf. There are obviously a lot of things for kids, but it is also fun for adults who want to get out and just have a little silly fun. My husband and I went with a few other young couples and had a blast doing the batting cages, mini-golf, and skee-ball. The batting cages were nice because they had a bunch of different options on speeds, so the unskilled of us still had a chance, but the skilled could still be challenged. The fastest speed was very difficult for our friend who played baseball in college. I probably wouldn't eat there --- the food didn't look very great for anyone over 12, but it is a fun place to go even without kids if you're in the right mood.

I have been with multiple friends as they got either tattooed or pierced at Bullwinkle’s, and I was impressed with how immaculate the shop was on each visit. This is the oldest tattoo parlor in Wichita, so one can rest assured that they are getting a safe and quality tattoo or piercing.

This is such a great place to take the family. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It is reasonably priced, and provides hours of entertainment on the ice skating rink. Head upstairs to find a nice cafe -- overlooking the ice skating rink. Once you have tired out, you can watch the kids skate to their hearts desires. Ice Sports Wichita is a treasure in the heart of Wichita.

I go here every chance I get. They often have great attractions and interesting exhibits. Many times during the year, Century II will hold special shopping events, which save me money! As an added bonus, it's near the main public library, so I can always spend a full day in the area, easily. They have also had great art exhibits that I loved going to.
It also looks great, too! Gives the city some class. I hope it is here to stay for a long time.

The Bicycle Pedaler is a unique shop in East Wichita offering an assortment of cycling related accessories and any bike you could ever want. I purchased a Trek bike several years ago, and I have taken it in three times -- they have always been more than helpful. They will teach you how to do repairs yourself... from changing the tire on a bike to removing and aligning the wheels. They have always been extremely friendly and they really have great prices -- even compared to biking supplies at walmart or target. I always stop here for anything bicycle related... it is a great store!
