I wish I could give it less than a star...there should be a - star rating as I this place deserves it. I had gone there tons of times in the past. Recommended it! Had a good rappore with the owner and waiters. This past weekend my mother came to town for the weekend. She and I have been there plenty of times. She was recognizable to the staff. It was our ritual before she left to have brunch there. This time we invited my brother and his wife. It was his birthday you see. Well I was running a couple of minutes late when they were seated. My brother ordered drinks 3 waters and 1 lemonade with an extra chair for me. Plenty of seating there. The waiter, who is also the owner, got loud and rudely said that they don't hold reserved seating and if they didn't order in ""1 minute"" (holds up his finger for all to see) than they would have to give up their seats. My brother told him I would be there shortly. ""one minute"" - finger in the air. He caused a scene, embarrassed my family not 2 minutes after they were seated. They hadn't even gotten a chance to look at the menu. He walked away and that's when I walked in. I sat down and my brother says, ""nice place you picked"". They proceeded to tell me what happened and I told them to get their things cause we are leaving. As a group WE caused a scene by getting up and leaving. The owner, managed to wrangle my mom away from us and demand payment for the lemonade that was untouched. My brother went back and got her and told her not to talk to ""this guy"" and that he wasn't paying for a drink he didn't touch. We left. Unfortunately it was late in the morning and we still wanted breakfast so we had to settle for a ""B"" rated restaurant up the street a little. But at least the service was kind. I'm one person and this was my families experience, and maybe he was having a bad day...but why is that our problem? Service is synonymous with food. I have banned this place for life. Eat there at your own risk. Pros: Larchmont Cons: Personality deficient
