Businiess name:  Artspace

Review content:
Artspace is THE destination for emerging and established artists in the Triangle. It functions as both workspace for artists combined with galleries in each studio. Although you can go to Artspace at any time, your best bet is to go on “First Friday” which is a free open-gallery festival held the first Friday of every month. Each gallery is open until 9 or 10 pm, and also includes galleries nearby to Artspace. The artists are there to talk to you about their art and there is food & music to add to the whole shebang. Art on display is nearly always for sale, and the prices range wildly. So does the art…contemporary, traditional, religious, obscene, colorful, black and white, sculpture, fabric art, painting, you name it. Various artists in residence there also offer classes throughout the year. Artspace is located in the popular City Market area of Raleigh, and is therefore nearby to other cool, funky places to eat and shop. Parking can be difficult, as it is all on-street and during the day is limited to 1-2 hours, although it is free.
