Velouria in Ballard is a great alternative to Olivine, where clothes are unique and well made, but overpriced. Velouria has put together a solid offering of lines from local and northwest designers, supporting their craft and also providing shoppers with equally superior clothes and accessories, at a much more affordable price. The great part about Veloruia is that you'll be wearing pieces that are sometimes one of a kind, or limited run. Why is a guy reviewing this store? Well, ever try shopping for your wife's birthday and finding that you don't know what you're looking for and the cost for one blazer is $600 at other boutiques? The owner and staff at Velouria are so helpful and welcoming and really work with your budget and with simple folk like me. That's nice and that's cool.
