Review content:
I have to say I'm suprised by all the sour reviews. I have seen over 50 shows at the Warfield & have never experienced anything like what they described. Every employee I've ever encountered was friendly & helpful. I've even had the bartender tell me she added extra whisky to my Crown Royal on the rocks b/c the price of the drink was so high. On another occasion, I pulled my ID out to get a drink stamp in the front lobby & the fellow working smiled & said "Ah, you old veteran." Not b/c he recognized me, but b/c I knew the routine. Awwww, no seats on the floor? That's why it's called a "dancefloor". The guys who greet you at the Fillmore sound forced & impersonal. That's their JOB to stand there & say"Welcome to the Fillmore". Thanks, I've been here a bunch of times too! The Fillmore is a great venue as well, but the Warfield is The Church of Jerry! You peeps who bag on the Warfield probably don't even like Jerry Garcia I'm guessing.Or go to very many concerts for that matter. The Warfield Theater is an all around classy joint & I hope to visit it many more times. Pros: I like the "anything goes" vibe Cons: parking is kind of tough for that part of town
