I've been to dinner twice to and for a few drinks at the new Coastal Flats in Fairfax. The dinner & drinks were great, a little on the pricey side. But I haven't had a bad meal.
I have noticed the line ups for a table on the weekends can be a bit much. I called ahead the last time at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday night and I was able to walk in for my table at 6:30 p.m. The lady on the phone was helpful and told me what time to exactly show up for my table. I over heard the wait times were upto a few hours when I arrived for my table.
The area can get crowded on the weekends, I recommend calling ahead and enjoy the food without the long wait. I recommend the lobster sandwich.
