Red Ruby has been around FOREVER! It is a real family affair- the owner is always there! The restaurant itself is really nice (typical older Chinese decor with red and gold and dragons- all that's missing is Buddah!), but we usually take it out. The meals are huge and lunch is really cheap! The best thing about Red Ruby is that you can tweak the menu to satisfy your appetite. Any meal can be made vegetarian by just taking out the meat, and I always add a hot curry sauce to my house vegetables for a truly satisfying meal! The fortune cookies also almost always have real fortunes in them! I once got one that said "you have no soul!" Was that guy having a bad day, or what?!?
