My son is attending Barking Waters HeadStart this year. He was already at the top of his class when he started, but that definitely hasn't slowed his learning! I am thoroughly impressed with their curriculum, and their many ways of motivating the children to learn. They offer many activities, all paid for by the school, such as attending the circus, going to the zoo, all kinds of fabulous events. They have even taught my son some of the Seminole language!
The only downside I have seen, and I am a very active parent and volunteer, is a lack of organization in the upper level staff, and a lack of parental involvement, although parents are encouraged to be involved in every area of the school. However, staff is open and willing to accept criticism and suggestions.
The best part about this organization, by far, is their teachers. I love them! They love the children and really help nurture them in every way they can. I wish my son could continue with these teachers throughout his education!
