The Cheese Shop of Wellesley is smack dab in the center of town. This is quite a store. One can smell the aroma of the strong tastey cheese from outside the store. The cheese is all imported, fresh and if one likes aged cheese, then you've found the right place. Try the aged Muenster.........it's an amazing cheese. The clerks are very knowledgeable (perhaps they are the proprietors). The are also willing to provide sample of cheese to insure that a customer purchases something they like. in addition to cheese, one can just spend time looking at the vast variety of foods from around the world. This includes vinegars, olive oils, teas, sauces, chocolates, even a small section from Japan. I'm stil pressing them on occasion to stock Marmite or Vegemite for those of us with the "hankering". There are also a variety of licorices, chocolates as mentioned above, cookies (ginger snaps are great) and bread sticks. I think this is a great place to saunter into on a rainy day. One can walk out tasting the world, when one is strapped to their desk or it isn't vacation season, and through cheese relive that European Vacation. The owners are willing to special order items too.
