The Morton Arboretum is a wonderful way to enjoy the outdoors either with your family or alone. The grounds are extensive so you can spend en entire day and not see everything and it changes as the seasons change. They have great clasess and special exhibits all the time. They have a new maze which is a lot of fun for the kids. It is reasonably priced (but bring your own food and drinks unless you want to drop some serious cash) and very easy to find as it is well marked and easily accesible from the highway.
