To be such an amazing school, LSMSA seems to be a well-kept secret. I want to let the secret out of the bag. In my opinion, LSMSA is the best high school in the state of Louisiana and one of the best in the country. If you don't believe me, read the recent Newsweek article in which LSMSA was not allowed to be in the top 100 U.S. high schools because it is too good. It is a college preparatory public boarding school located on the Northwestern State University campus in Natchitoches, Louisiana. The class schedule is set up like a college schedule and the classes are taught at a college level. The curriculum is diverse, including the typical high school classes as well as classes in specialized topics such as World Religions, Chaos Theory, Constitutional Development, Philosophy, and many more. While athletics are included in the curriculum and there are opportunities to play team sports, this is a high school that, believe it or not, stresses education more than anything else. If you are an intelligent and ambitious student or if you have a child that is, please do yourself a favor and look into this school. I am an alumnus and I consider those two years to be the best of my life. There is too much to say about the school to write it here, so please feel free to ask me any questions about it.
