This is one of my favorites bookstores in the city - but not for the reasons others have mentioned. Never mind the cafe, or the pure volume of books, but the bargain tables are wonderful! Rows and rows of all kinds of wonderful things, and enough room between them to settle yourself happily on the floor to browse. A perfectly good - if dangerous for your wallet - way to spend an afternoon.
