The best time to go to Silver Dollar City is at Christmas. The shows there are absolutely phenomenal at this time. You can buy warm candied almonds, kettle corn, and tons of yummy things throughout the park. There's singing, a live nativity, and the decorations make you feel as if you've entered someplace enchanted. When we go in the fall or summer we bring a cooler with us. It is cheaper as far as food is concerned, and we don't have to worry about buying bottled water (which is expensive in the park). We just take the tram and leave the park for lunch and go back when we finish. It's really a good way to save a little money.
