If you're in Fremont and in the mood for a terrific selection of Belgian beers and flemish food, then make a point to stop in at Brouwer's. What the place lacks in "curb appeal" it makes up for in spades when you step inside. A mellow Seattle-cool atmosphere complimented by a terrific beer list and good, simply prepared food. I loved Hopleaf in Chicago when we lived there and now I've found a solid substitute in Seattle.
