I signed my 5-year-old son up for Aikido Kids. I figured he could use the skills to improve his strength, balance, and coordination, in all of which the poor little guy is lacking! He's only had one class but he LOVES it. He learned all sorts of new things his first day. His eyes absolutely light up when he sees his uniform. I think that makes him pretty special. My 2-year-old daughter, who doesn't talk much, is even going around saying, "Aikido!" like she wants to be a part of it (unfortunately, she is too young). Classes are a bit pricey but I don't know if they're expensive relative to other martial arts places.
