Skiing in the East is in no way comparable to skiing in the Rockies, but Ski Sundown is a great place to go if you're not expecting much. They have a variety of trails- none that challenging, so is an excellent place to bring a first-time skier or child. The lift lines here are usually horrendous so plan on coming early or staying late. The lodge is not that good- overpriced and severly lacking of ambiance. The lifts (two chairs) are slow and a bit boring, but in a pinch this mountain is ultimately convienient.
