My first impression of this hotel was the beautiful lobby with a huge vase of fresh flowers. I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk and given a room. The hotel grounds are beautiful and one of the pools has a water slide. There are also hot tubs and poolside bars. It rained every day I was there but there were shops &r restaurants in the hotel as well as an exercise room. This hotel is not on the beach but there is free ferry out to Hickory Island, their own private island. It was nice but it started to rain almost immediately so I couldn't see as much as I would like. The location is great and there are a plenty of places to shop and eat near this hotel.
