This zoo is the big one in Pittsburgh and has all the animals that you would expect to find in a large city zoo. The park is child friendly and you can plan to spend the day there. They have food vendors and it's not that expensive. They also have a few little rides. They also have a gift shop. Parking is free, but get there earlier so that you can get a closer spot to the entrance. It can be a far, far walk from your car to the entrance if you park at the end of the lot. And once you are done walking around the zoo, it's nice not to have to walk all the way across the parking lot if you can help it!
