If you're ever in New Haven, CT or perhaps you're lucky enough to live there, you must find The Pantry. I never thought a breakfast/brunch nook could ever be my favorite restaurant but it is. Owned by two brothers, this hole in the wall on the corner of State and Mechanic Streets in New Haven is home away from home. Menu highlights are Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, any sort of omelet, homemade fruit pancakes and enormous waffles. The hash browns/potato side are hot, crunchy and never to be skipped. Combine this with some old school jazz and it's nearly perfect. The only issue is the long line you'll wait in on the weekends. Rain, snow and sleet doesn't keep the fans away.
