The owner is very knowledgable about geology, minerals, crystals, etc. The store is packed full of stones from "for kids" to the Smithsonian-level collectibles. Prices tend to be very reasonable (been there when dealers from other parts of the 5-state region come to buy to stock their own stores). Want a particular stone? The Enchanted Rock Garden can get one for you (if they don't already have one). Go there and come away with a geology lesson! You don't have to do your own mining. The store does that for you with a huge variety of choices. Does this sound like I'm a fan? You bet! My favorite place to spend some time and money.
