Cameron's in University Mall in Chapel Hill is a great spot for gifts, with prices ranging from under $10 to much more extravagant. There are plenty of hip, fun accessories, a few gag gifts, housewares, jewelry, lotions and spa items.
Not to be missed is the upstairs, which is almost completely devoted to greeting cards--not the regular old Hallmark cards you can find anywhere, either--really cool, unique cards that show people exactly how much you think of them (even if you buy it at the last minute, it seems like you must have scoured the stores for hours looking for just the right card.)
Also, check out the Elvis shrine and the meditation room--worth going in for, even if you don't buy anything!
