The Rosemeade Pool is part of the Carrollton Parks District program, so you can get a membership that is a long term membership to use all the facilities or just pay as you use the pool. Either way, it's worth it--it's only $2.00 for both adult and child residents and $4.00 for non-residents, and it's a really nice pool. It's big and has lanes for people who want to practice competitive or fitness-type swimming and laps and also shallower sections for the kids, as well as diving boards and a general pool area just to cool off.

This is one of the cheaper driving ranges around Carrollton. Their tees are always lined full with people and the range is well lit with massive flood lights. Make sure you bring some off bug spray because you are going to need it. If you love golf, give this place a try. I think you'll like it.

They are great with kids. They teach professional and competitive athletes but I know more about their youth programs and when you see the little kids rolling around on the mat in their uniforms and their smiling faces afterwards, you know they are at a great place.
They have programs for martial arts, wrestling, MMA, jiu jitsu, etc.

The minute you walk into this store, you are blown away by all the stuff they have. Hundreds of goggles, masks, flippers, snorkels, tanks, how can you possibly make a descision if you are clueless? No problem! One of their friendly staff simply guides you to what you need for the activity you want to participate in. For me, it was snorkeling. The person helping me helped me select a pair of fins, mask, and snorkel - this was over 2 years ago, and i still use my equipment today! Are you an indecisive person? Not a problem either, they have a pool where you can try out stuff before you buy! They also offer scuba diving lessons if you are into that. The store is kid friendly as there are fish ponds to keep the kids amused.

This is a great place to play tennis. I go here a couple of times a week and spend a few hours there playing tennis. They only charge $2 for an hour and a half, which is extremely cheap for a facility like this. Also, if you go there alone, you'll always find someone to play against, which is another plus.

Lou's Golf Shop in Carrollton is a good find, if you're a male looking for a used or new set of golf clubs. I, being a female, went in there to look at a used set of women's clubs that my husband had told me about and had a completely different experience. When my husband was in there he found great deals and very helpful service, by the owner, Lou. When I went in a few days later to check out the clubs for myself, I was pretty much blown off and told to help myself. They do carry a large number of used clubs, from drivers to irons and putters. They also sell used golf balls at a reasonable price as well. So, even though my service wasn't great while I was there, my husband will still go in from time to time looking for a good deal.
