this is the best of the expensive restaurants in downtown palo alto (and that's saying something). the ambiance is absolutely perfect as is the food and the service. the prices are no joke. it would be almost impossible to get out of there for less than $40 a person, and why skimp at that point. the wines are also excellent and you might as well splurge. expect a wait, definitely a good idea to call ahead for reservations.
