New restaurant on Chardon Square. Went with a friend for lunch. We were greeted with "Two?" No "Welcome to Morgan's Place" etc. Food was average to good, comparable to Friday's or Cleats just down the street on Route 44. Value was fair. Sandwiches with fries were $7.95 and up. Pretty average for the area.
Decor is nice with old pics of Chardon. Staff seemed very harried, rushing about although it was not crowded. Waitress may be a friendly person but came across and overwhelmed. Hostess sat us but never "greeted" us. We came to Chardon Square for the afternoon to visit the shops and experience the charms of a small town. Did not find any charm at Morgan's Place. Will give it another try in a few months, if it is still there.
