I think this place highly depends on the person that cuts your child's hair. I knew people who had gone here and thought it was fun for their child. I think the novelty of the experience kept my son occupied, but our stylist made ZERO effort to occupy or entertain him or talk to him. He was only 2, but got plopped in a regular seat even though I had asked for one of the kiddie seats. No smile or chatter from the stylist. I asked for a trim of his curly hair "I'd like it long and loopy, just evened out a little". As I walked a few steps to a nearby bend to change my other baby's diaper, I turned around to find that she had taken clippers to his hair and he had a buzzed haircut!!! Not wanting to say anything in front of my son, I whispered to her that I told her to keep it long. She said "oh." Plus it was cut 1/2 inch higher over one ear than the other. It looked terrible. I'm so glad it's grown out now. Then she said "Oh, this his first hair cut, right?" and I replied "yes". She reached down to the ground, picked up a wet lock of hair, threw it in a plastic baggie and handed me a certificate saying it was his first cut.
Thank goodness my son enjoyed watching the train overhead and the other children. I'm never going back!
