I was the 5-star review up top. Now I have to come back and say that the other reviewers were right and I was wrong. Since then, i think they've ripped me off a couple of times. The last time was a joke--I walked out after the estimate. What a shady place.

We went to Kindermusik for only a couple of months. The moms in the class and I found Kathleen not to be very good with young (1-2 yr) children and far too regimented for this type of class and age group. Simply, it wasn't fun and Kathleen seemed to be more geared towards much older children--perhaps that has changed now since it has been a year or so since we participated. Fortunately, there are different programs in town and we found another one that we love.

I think that Dr. Zaid is a great OBGYN for anyone interested in a successful natural birth experience. She is progressive, "midwife-like" in her philosophy, respectful of her patients wishes, and very straightforward. She's knowledgable and supportive of birthing methods such as hypnobirthing. Her office staff is not at all friendly, respectful or customer-service oriented (the patient is always wrong/irritating)--also very prone to making billing and insurance mistakes.

I think this is a fun place to bring kids that like trains and building railroads, and adults will find it really interesting as well. They have very extensive miniature displays set up in a series of large areas, in different scales. The railroads and cityscapes are pretty elaborate and are all related to San Diego city and railroad history. An hour will cover this museum, and there's plenty of other things to see in Balboa park.

I come here every once in a while, especially with out of town friends or relatives as we stroll through downtown. It's a lovely store, with beautiful displays and great ideas for California indoor/outdoor living spaces. I always come away with good ideas that I try to implement at home (like a huge shallow bowl filled with water plants or a particular arrangement) , but I don't ever purchase anything. Occasionally they have glassworks or ceramics from artists.

This theatre has been around since the 20's and is a great place to see movies and shows. Anything from smaller films to Rocky Horror Picture show to music. Catch the Full Moon Poetry Slam here for a really fun time! Just saw the Asylum Street Spankers here this month--great time in great theatre with a fun local crowd. Easy to park downtown and catch dinner too.

My kids love this place because they have a couple of ponies and goats and it's just a nice easygoing place.

I'm a beginner but I really like this yarn shop and have been there a few times---I went there not too long ago looking for a very hard to find yarn for an out-of-state friend, and I needed a lot of it too. Went to a couple of places, and no luck until I came here. They had it and 10 skeins of it as well! I think they have a great selection, I even found wool stuffing here for stuffed yarn animals. The one thing I don't like is the maze like cramped feel of the store. I also don't like how they display the yarns by color rather than type of yarn. So anything with green in it is on one wall, black in an entire different area, etc. I prefer having the wools together, the novelty yarns together and the ability to choose various colors of the same yarn.
Otherwise, a great place.

This shop is nice, clean, open, comfortable, and has a great selection of yarns and knitting accessories (needles, books, etc). Yarns are sorted clearly by type and content, and they have a nice selection of everything from soft wools and alpacas to colorful novelty yarns. The staff is helpful and friendly and great with giving suggestions on how to go about a project. They also offer classes, but I haven't checked into those

OK, so I thought I would never write a positive review of a car dealership. I have been there twice to service my Ford Escape, and it's been great and reasonably priced! I even got estimates from other garages the first time and the price was great at Ken Grody. They have a courtesy shuttle and it was was fast--I only had to wait a couple of minutes. They checked on recalls, were thorough in the evaluation of the problem, delivered the car as promised on time, didn't even charge for one item once. They called afterwards to make sure I was happy. Happy?!? I was in shock! What a great place.
