Believing that Mexican food is all about tacos and enchiladas is a little like thinking all French food is french fries or Chinese food is chop suey.
Hacienda De Vegas has lots of kudos from San Diego Magazine to San Diego Times and they are all deserved.
It has recently been remodeled and is quite a surprise. It is right next to a dive Inn and a very cool looking 60s diner that looks like it hasn't change a bit in 40 years, but inside there is a two acre lawn and the inside is completely open to the air.
The cuisine isn't just burritos (although you can get that), but try to specialties like pork tender loin cerveza. It will expand your horizons.
A great place thats in North County. A great surprise.
