Shorty Smalls has been around for a long time. They are just as much a bar as a restaurant, but the food brings most people in. Food is classic American and not for the health conscious. Burgers, steaks, barbque line most of the menu. Fried potato and onions are the main veggies. There are two locations, the original on Rodney Parham in LR and behind the mall in NLR. This place is always crowded even on weeknights. Near several large neighborhoods in LR, it is a good place for families or for meeting with the buddies.
