Overpriced, Above Average American Food 8/6/2005

Deciding to sway from my typical route, I agreed to dine at Buckhead Diner, located on Piedmont Road, with a few friends. The first thing I noticed was the wait, we ended up waiting around 30 minutes for a party of 3 on a tuesday evening (which is very odd around Atlanta). After building up an appetite I ordered an appetizer consisting of a blue cheese marinara dip served with garlic toasted baguette strips. This course didn't taste like anything special, so for my main course I ordered the tequilla-lime flank steak, which was quite pleasant and tasty. Overall the meal cost me around $30 with a drink (more than I usually like to spend). I'd recommend the Buckhead Diner to a few friends, as although it's a bit overpriced, it's one of the better restaurants in the area. more
