Whenever I have guests in from out of town, I enjoy taking them over to the Château Ste Michelle Winery in Woodinville.
It's located on a beautiful piece of property with lovely buildings and roaming peacocks.
Take a tour of the winery to learn a little about the place, and then make a stop at the bar for a tasting. Be sure to ask if they have any wines available to taste that are only sold there at their retail shop.
They have a lovely collection of items for sale, so save some time peruse those. Pick up a little snack in the shop, get a bottle of wine and picnic on the grounds after your tour and tasting.
What a way to spend an afternoon!
