Lux surprised us with its high quality -- previous restaurants in the Wallingford Center have not been impressive. The calimari were pounded, pankoed, and delicious. I had a lovely roast chicken and mashers with pancetta gravy, my wife a nice flaky hailibut dusted with ground nuts. The wine list is short but good -- we had a Wolf Blass shiraz (2002) which was delicious. This is not a top-of-the-line place, but the remodel is bright and open, the wait staff young but experienced and effective, and we had a lovely experience.
