The Dallas Zoo has a monorail now, as well as a number of exhibits that the whole family will enjoy. It's open from 9 to 5 over the summer, and admission is a little steep ($8 for adults, last I checked, plus you have to pay about $5 to park). The Dallas Zoo was the first zoo in Texas, founded in 1888. Now, it has over 800 animals, including the Okapi, an African mammal that is somewhat rare.
